The company aims to achieve this goal by pursuing exploration and mining opportunities, and exploring high quality projects in a technical and cost-effective manner. The company will develop those projects which will provide a superior financial return to its shareholders.

Drake Resources Limited listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 31 March 2005. Drake's main activities are through its alliance with Zinifex Ltd, the global zinc, lead and silver mining company. Drake manages the project generation and acquisition programme within the alliance. Projects accepted by the alliance then become joint ventures between the two companies. The alliance is building a substantial portfolio of properties in Australia and Scandinavia, and is assessing opportunities in Canada and South Africa.

Drake has interests in gold and silver projects in Australia. The Mt. Carrington project in NSW contains JORC-compliant resources of gold and silver. Drake also holds a number of properties in the Eastern Goldfields and Southern Cross regions of Western Australia, including Mt Palmer, Lake Rebecca and Heron Well.
