He has held senior management roles in exploration and business development withlarge and small companies. These include Billiton, Acacia Resources,North Limited and New Hampton Goldfields. He has particular experience in leading exploration teams, and in project identification, valuation and acquisition. Of particular importance to his position in Drake Resources are his experience in exploring for porphyry and epithermal deposits in the Andes, Europe, the Middle East and Indonesia, instratabound zinc-silver deposits in Australia, South Africa andScandinavia, and in gold exploration the Eastern Goldfields and similar regions overseas. Dr Beeson is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and other professional geoscience associations. |
| Jay Stephenson MBA, FCPA, CMA, FCIS, MAICD (Non Executive Director & Company Secretary) Jay has been involved in business development for over 20 years including approximately 16 years as Director, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for various listed and unlisted entities in resources, manufacturing, wine, hotels and property. He has been involved in business acquisitions, mergers, initial public offerings, capital raisings, business restructuring as well managing all areas of finance for companies. Jay is currently a non-executive Director of Drake Resources Limited, Doray Minerals Limited, Strategic Minerals Corporation NL, Aura Energy Limited as well as Company Secretary for a number of ASX Listed resource and industrial companies. |
| John Hoon (Non Executive Director) Mr Hoon has a strong background in financial and audit matters and has an extensive Australian and South East Asian business network across a wide range of sectors. Mr Hoon is currently a non-executive Director of Grange Resources Limited and was previously a Director of Bao Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of China Shangai Baosteel Corporation which is one of the largest listed companies in China. In addition Mr Hoon, together with his associates, successfully founded and established Navitas Limited, an Australian listed company providing private business and English language education. Mr Hoon provides technical expertise and consulting services to public companies in Australia and overseas, on a range of Australian corporate issues. |
James Merrillees is a professional geologist with more than 15 years applied minerals exploration experience. James has successfully led exploration teams throughout Australia, South America, Asia and Africa. His experience includes all aspects of minerals exploration and evaluation for a range of commodities and deposit styles. James has held senior technical and management positions with BHP Billiton Limited and has worked as an independent consultant for a number of public and private groups globally.
